The product looks good but for me, the greys did not take dye properly. I’m a black man so I was going by the advertising black guy beard image I saw before purchasing. It looks like a salt and pepper look even though I was expecting full black. The existing black hairs did look darker though. Tried it for 25mins, same results, 30 mins, same results, next day, 50 mins, same results.

I’ve been using true sun since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Before that, I was spending $300 every six weeks to have it done professionally. My experience with professional hair comprises has been inconsistent at best. It feels like they were trained to do it a certain way and that’s the way they do it, but it is wildly inconsistent. I would get a lot of red tones in my brown under certain lights, and it was rare that I felt really good about the color. With true sons I feel amazing about how the color looks and my wife is still, years later, blown away by how subtle and natural it looks. I work in film and television and whenever I tell anyone I die my hair, they always say “who do you go to?” “I would never have guessed.” “It looks amazing”. I mean, if those aren’t the comments you want to hear when you volunteer the information that you’ve died your hair, I don’t know what it is. Seriously. The main thing you want as a man is that no one knows you dye your hair. Period!! The other cool thing about this product is that it does wash out slowly over time and allows you to decide which color you like.I’ve tried light brown, dark brown and dark blonde. Light brown is the color for me and now I’m going to start dying my beard. I have to grow one first, though. I haven’t grown a beard since the late 90s because my facial hair is so gray. I’ll keep you updated. BTW I'm 49 years old. Big 5-0 in March!! Chris

My experience with True Sons has been great, I started out using just for men and some others then got a tip from my Barber to use a product made for women called Clairol Textures & Tones in Natural Black, last about 4 to 5 days and the gray would come right back, then one morning I drinking my morning coffee and scrolling on Facebook and saw this ad. Now with the other hair dyes I used was messy and would dye everything I used but when I ordered and got my first package of True Sons for men, it has been so quick and easy to use and the best part, my hair stays black almost a week longer. True Sons has truly been a great experience for me and I’m sold on True Sons.
