True Sons is available online via TrueSons.com website and soon back on Amazon. It can be delivered to your door in a single order or through a recurring or semi-annual subscription in cool, discreet packaging.

Each use is intended for one full application, depending on your hair/beard length and the amount of gray you want to blend. Feel free to touch up or darken with further applications the same day you dye.

Using it fresh helps maintain an even tone and ensures a beard dye that doesn’t look dyed. While some customers report saving unused product for a day or two, we don’t recommend it, as results can vary. We stand behind same-day use.

Yes. True Sons is made for both. The foam allows precise control, whether you’re working with thick hair, tight edges, or patchy spots. It’s especially effective as beard dye for stubble and blends well with short or long styles.

Take care when dyeing stubble or thinning hair as the skin could irritate more easily.

However, True Sons can never be used on your eyebrows, eyelashes, or pubic region. Getting dye in your eyes is extremely dangerous. You might give a whole new meaning to the term ‘blue balls’.

As with all hair dyes, there are risks of temporary staining to your skin. Read the User’s Guide to learn how to minimize staining. Again, using on the pubic area is NOT RECOMMENDED for this reason and others.

True Sons is a no-mess hair color when used as directed. Use the gloves provided, wipe off any color from your skin right away, and stick to dark towels for best results after the first wash.

Yes! It will stain everything unless it is cleaned up. For the sink (and even walls) of your bathroom, we recommend thoroughly wiping down all surfaces post application. And we mean everywhere, especially light colored. We recommend using cheap, dark-colored towels to towel off. Light colors will show stains immediately.

Part of improving our product for our new formula was removing the aerosol components. In effect, our new product can only be used for one application once mixed.

For full blending, leave for 15-25 minutes. For a softer effect, try 10-15 minutes. We recommend applying the product for 15 minutes the first time and evaluating the results. Need more penetration? Reapply in 5-minute intervals until you reach your desired shade.

Start counting the time after all dye foam (or mixture of dye + developer) is applied to the area. And dye one area at a time, please. Don’t be greedy.

This is entirely up to you and the kind of coverage you’d like to achieve. Each application should not exceed 25 minutes max.

Yes, you really do. Allergic reactions are rare but they do happen. How many years did you wait to try dyeing? 48 more hours won’t make a difference. You have been warned!

You can shampoo before, but make sure to start with clean, dry hair. You can shampoo after dyeing, but it is not required. Simple rinse with water until the water runs clear. Every time you shampoo your hair, you remove some of the dye. The more shampoos, the quicker you will need to reapply.

Excess exposure to the sun, or chlorine from a swimming pool could also make your color fade faster.

Yes, color-extending shampoos are fine to use. They may help extend the length of time between applications.

We decided that our shade line is all you really need to get good results.

Pick the shade closest to your natural color. Our range delivers natural-looking beard color and subtle gray blending. When in doubt, start lighter - you can always go deeper with a second application within the same day.

Use less product and shorten your processing time. This helps blend grays while keeping texture and contrast, giving you that natural salt-and-pepper finish.

Yes. True Sons is designed to soften, not fully cover, gray. It’s a great choice for men’s hair dye without damage, helping you look sharper.

You can change the shade you receive for each shipment by changing your account settings at least five days before your next ship date.

To change your delivery frequency, log into your account and look for the Manage Your Subscription option.

Yes. Any plan changes, including cancellations, must be received five days before your next shipment date. You can also skip a shipment by logging into your account, going to Manage Subscription, click Show Details > Manage Upcoming Orders and adjust each shipment to your liking.

True Sons usually ships out new orders within 1 business day. We are able to ship to PO and APO boxes.

We currently ship only within the continental United States only. Sorry, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam!

Yes, single-use kits can be purchased through the True Sons website and Amazon.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your choice of shade, we will either send you out a new shade as a replacement or we will cheerfully issue a refund. To request a new shade, contact support@truesons.com within 30 days of the date of your original purchase. This policy is limited to one per customer.

Of course! Although True Sons was made specifically for men, women can use our products as well to achieve a natural look. However, we are only available in a limited number of shades.

We proudly manufacture and fill our product within the USA. Some ingredients and materials that go into the product are sourced outside the USA.

True Sons is cruelty-free. We do not test our products on animals. We will not sell into countries that require animal testing. Please do not use True Sons on your dog or cat. If we find out, we will cancel your subscription!
